Lariza Line Project
In the Spring of 2022 Crestline Construction installed 1264 ft of HDPE and 2 PRV’s near Panorama Point. This project was federally funded by NRCS as part of the Eastside Lateral Pipeline Project. Part of this project involved an Archeology Historical dig, and due to findings, the project was delayed a bit. Construction was finished prior to the irrigation season, and this line is charged and ready for service for the season. One more step on the path to a pressurized delivery system.

Thomsen Line Project
Before the snowfall of 2021, EFID crew installed 2178 feet of pressurized PVC pipe. This project eliminated three overflows by installing pressure relief valves and filters, which allowed for this specific line to be a closed pressurized line with no water waste.
EFID is committed to putting the water saved back instream at the East Fork Hood River which supports ESA – listed populations of spring Chinook salmon, winter, and summer steelhead, and coho. This improvement was part of the Modernization Plan.

Eastside Road Line Project
Located near the Crag Rat line, EFID installed a new pipeline (Eastside Road Line). This line has 800 feet of pressurized pipe, eliminated two overflows by installing one pressure relief valve and a filter. It now has guaranteed water delivery to our patrons when at full head and is also less expensive for the District to maintain and operate.

Dethman Ridge Project
This project unlike the others was a repair and not a new install. Dethman Ridge Line struggles with air lock and is constantly leaking. This Spring, EFID crew added automated air valves to prevent any future air locks. Patrons along this line will benefit from improved water delivery and less disruptions and damage to their systems and any other sublaterals feeding from this line.

Eastside Lateral Project Update
East Fork Irrigation District is still actively working to pipe and pressurize the Eastside Canal, however, there have been a few bumps in the road. Due to increasing material costs and an ongoing stormwater agreement, the piping of the canal must be delayed until next year. In the meantime, EFID has plenty of sublaterals to update and install.
